UNMATCHED SERVICEABILITY

It’s no secret that combat robots take damage, but for some odd reason, many robots are extremely difficult or cumbersome to work on. With only 20 minutes of guaranteed repair time at most events, it can be a challenge to recover from damage without having a second robot built and ready to go.

Betz Botz changes this with the NE2.8, the easiest and fastest commercially available kit to service between matches.

Here’s how it works.
An aluminum “skeleton” is at the core of the robot’s strength and rigidity. All other assembled units are shock mounted to this frame without any additional hardware.

With the removal of just four screws (2mm Allen key), the aluminum frame is unlocked. Once unlocked, the front attachment, back armor, and drive modules can all be removed for replacement in under 10 seconds by most builders. To service the drive module as a subassembly, a single screw (2mm Allen key) is all that’s needed for each gear or wheel.

OPTIONS

*This kit can be configured fully competition ready. If you so choose, it’ll include a controller, battery, charger, and even an Allen key to make sure you’re competition ready the moment you pull it out of the box. This the only fully assembled competition ready combat robot kit available for purchase. Seriously, you could pull this thing out of the box, turn it on, and start fighting in a competition right then and there.

Pre-wired Electronics - Pre-wiring means that everything is included, soldered, and ready to go. The included remote control, receiver, and brushed motor controllers are all part of their own kit, and it utilizes a “tank steering” control scheme. This controller’s drawback is a lack of variable speed control, but it’s been proven to not matter at all in the right hands. The controller failsafes and uses a 2.4GHz system, making it legal at any competition Betz Botz is aware of.

Use your own electronics - This option requires you to provide a transmitter, receiver, and drive ESCs. Consequently, you will also be responsible for wiring these electronics into the bot. Regardless of what option you select, the kit will always include Repeat Robotics Brushed gearmotors and a Betz Botz Square Switch power switch.

Wedge - The wedge attachment is a great all around option for this kit. Its thick TPU and sloped faces will deflect or absorb hits from some of the hardest hitting robots around. Specifically, this attachment is designed to deal with horizontal spinners, which are carted around the arena with ease.

Forks - Forks made from extremely tough AR500 steel give you an edge over (or rather, under) other wedges, vertical spinners, and any robot that benefits from ground game. Forks are often the difference between an event victory and a mid-pack performance.
